Arima Hospital / Arima / 100,000 S.F. / FIDIC Engineer / Ongoing
Currently under construction, the 150-bed hospital, approximately US$200M project will improve the availability of quality health care for the residents of Arima and environs. This modern healthcare facility meets the demands of a growing society and keeps abreast with advances in medical science as they become available. In this project Designworks was responsible for the role of the FIDIC Engineer – architect under the auspices of Derek Outridge QES Ltd and Gerard Niles of Altura Ltd. This task involved overseeing the Design-Build Contractor China Railway Construction Company Ltd and ensuring that all relevant healthcare design standards laid out by the AIA Guidelines were met.
