Spread throughout 250,000 square feet in a 22-storey tower block in the heart of the City Center, the new office for the Board of Inland Revenue was a Design-Build project that was completed in 2017. A modern structure fitted with vibrant colours and distinctly coordinated departments, the new office of the Board of Inland Revenue integrates previously disparate staff in one centralised location while large public spaces encourage visitor and employee interaction. Included in the project was the design and construction of a gymnasium, a homework center and a cafeteria as staff amenities. This project involved a two-week trip to China to select suitable office furniture. Upon completion the client, UdeCOTT deemed the design a ‘resounding success’.
