One of 4 Designworks projects for this esteemed client from the Banking sector was the renovation of the historical Mariner’s Club building adjacent to Independence Square in downtown Port-of-Spain. This engaging project overcomes the challenge of the existing structure’s lack of headroom by introducing sweeping curved bulkheads that conceal services and infrastructure while successfully distracting the eye from the low ceiling heights in the space. This project also made use of frosted glazed partitions that define and distinguish offices and tellers in the Main Banking Hall while the blue and gold corporate colours of Intercommercial Bank were emblazoned throughout the interiors. Since the completion of this project, Intercommercial Bank was bought over by JMMB and Designworks continues to enjoy a warm relationship with this driven client.
